Cultural Cravings: Savoring Belize’s History, Heritage, and Gastronomy
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Welcome
Your Belize adventure begins as you touch down in this tropical paradise. You'll land in San Pedro and check into the Best Western Grand Baymen Gardens Resort, where we'll guarantee an excellent stay. Your first taste of Belize comes in the form of a traditional Belizean dinner at El Fogon, the award-winning restaurant known for its firehearth cooking.
Day 2: Exploring San Pedro
After a hearty breakfast at Grand Baymen, you'll attend a Corporate Structures Meeting at Caye Financial Centre, where you'll learn about diverse financing options. Then, it's time to explore the property, from the Belize Marriott residences construction site to the stylish Best Western condos, and finally, our newest property on West Ambergris Caye - the TES over-water village. For lunch, you'll unwind at the Truck Stop, Belize's first shipping container food park and beer garden. Bring your swimsuit, because you'll visit Secret Beach, renowned for its pristine, crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand.
The day ends with a relaxing dinner at Grand Baymen.
Day 3: Catamaran Adventure
The adventure continues as you embark on an all-day catamaran tour to Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley, and Caye Caulker. Dive into crystal-clear waters to snorkel with majestic rays and sharks, and then unwind on the stunning shores of Caye Caulker. Culinary delights await with lunch at Caye Caulker and dinner at Elvi's, one of Ambergris Caye's oldest restaurants.
Day 4: Rainforest Retreat
After breakfast at Grand Baymen, you'll be leaving the San Pedro Island and taking the Tropic Air puddle jumper back to the mainland. There, you'll visit The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center (TBZTEC), the oldest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facility in the country. You'll have lunch there, surrounded by more than 160 animals representing 43 native species. Afterwards, you'll check into the intimate eco-lodge, Table Rock Jungle Lodge. Set in Belize's stunning Cayo District rainforest, you'll be surrounded by opportunities for hiking, swimming, and birdwatching.
The day wraps-up with a farm-to-table dinner in Table Rock Jungle Lodge's beautiful open-air dining room, and an optional night hike through the jungle.
Day 5: Mayan Ruins and Cave Canoeing
Start with a delicious breakfast at Table Rock Jungle Lodge before exploring the Xunantunich Ruins. Discover the "Stone Maiden," a compact Maya site with stunning 360-degree views. Lunch is also a part of this adventurous day. In the afternoon, paddle through the Barton Creek Cave on a serene, mile-long float beneath stalactites and stalagmites. You'll round off the day with a return to the lodge and a delicious dinner.
Day 6: Jungle Relaxation
After breakfast, enjoy a day of relaxation at Table Rock Jungle Lodge. Soak in the stunning infinity pool with jungle views, feed friendly farm animals, or indulge in a soothing massage. If you're up for a bit of adventure, try birdwatching and see how many of Belize’s 587 bird species you can spot right on Table Rock’s grounds. The farewell dinner at Table Rock Jungle Lodge promises to be a memorable occasion, with fantastic dinner entertainment. There's a second optional night hike for those who want one last jungle adventure. As you check out the following day and depart for the International Airport, you'll carry memories of Belize that will last a lifetime.
